David Goodhue – AHN News Reporter Baltimore, MD, United States (AHN) – Many people living with HIV in the United States and Canada are waiting too long to begin treatment for the disease, according to a new report. Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine researchers studied almost 45,000 patients in both countries from 1997 to 2007 and found many people did not begin antiretroviral therapy until their immune systems were significantly weakened.
